How to prepare for your makeup and hair appointment.

  • During the initial consultation we talk about the desired look, skin sensitivities, skin type and your hair texture. Details such indoor or outdoor event and the time window for the services.

  • A preview session is strongly recommended to create a customized desired look prior to the event. A preview session will give the client an opportunity to wear the makeup and hair prior to the event and see if any adjustments need to be made.

    We are unable to create hair styles for clients coming to the appointment with excessive oily hair.

  • 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on the desired look. The client will receive a timeline to be reviewed.

  • Dry, Normal, Combination or oily.

  • TINTED MOISTURIZER: Lightweight with just a hint of color, tinted moisturizer evens out your skin tone while infusing it with extra hydration—a dual benefit that makes it a popular choice. It's perfect for those who want their skin to have a natural glow without looking like they're wearing makeup. Not recommended for very oily skin.

    MATTE: Has no sheen and no glow to it but highlights and contour can still be created. Please keep in mind this finish tends to show skin texture, accentuates wrinkles and scars. It is not recommended for clients with dry, acne or skin that is peeling off.

    DEWY: This look has a very radiant finish. Not recommended for clients with oily skin, specially if planning on wearing the makeup all day in humid, hot climate or outdoor events. Ideal for normal to dry skin.

    NATURAL: This is the preferred finish by most clients, giving the skin an in between dewy and matte look to the skin and an in between light to medium coverage. The finish is natural with a subtle glow to it. Suitable for all skin types, except excessively oily skin.

    FULL COVERAGE: This finish hides freckles and offers a heavier finish and is often used to conceal blemishes or discoloration. This is more suitable for photoshoots or TV appearances.

    We pay close attention when choosing the right skin care for our client’s skin type. Let us know if you will come to the appointment with any bruising or if you have any skin allergies or sensitivities.

  • Unlike traditional makeup, Airbrush Makeup is a gently, smooth and flawless makeup application that consist of spraying a fine mist of liquid foundation onto the skin through an airbrush gun. The look will be more of a matte finish. Traditional Makeup is press onto the skin with a makeup sponge to create a seamless look with the option of a dewy, natural or matte finish.

  • HAIR - Clients not scheduled for a blow out: shampoo and condition the hair the day before the appointment with a professional shampoo and conditioner. For clients with straight hair or soft waves, let hair air dry. For clients with natural tight curls or freezy hair, blow dry hair in cool setting only and a round brush to get the hair more on the straight side. Clients not scheduled for a blow out are required to come to the appointment with completely dry hair ready to style. All clients must avoid using a flat iron or any serums that will make the hair fall flat such serums, leave-in conditioners, etc.

    Clients scheduled for a blow out will be guided on how to prep the hair.

    Please keep in mind that using hotel or off the counter shampoo and conditioner might not give clients the best results.

    MAKEUP - Come to the appointment with a clean, makeup-free face and no mascara. Removing old mascara during your appointment cause redness and teary eyes. We provide false lashes for every makeup application, let us know ahead if you have eyelash extensions we will need to fill-in.

  • Clip-in hair extensions are recommended to add fullness and volume.

    Using a volumizing shampoo and conditioner at least 3-4 times prior to the appointment. Last shampoo will be the day prior to the appointment and let hair air dry. Using a blow dryer or flat iron is not recommended. Skip all hair styling products, specially serums, leave-in conditioners, hair spray, dry shampoo hair mousse, or any product to make the hair feel smooth and silky.

    Recommended brands:

    Amika 3D volume and thickening shampoo or Pureology pure volume both shampoo and conditioner. Rinse conditioner well, until no residue/feel of conditioner is in the hair.

    We can still re-create the look without hair extensions or using other brand shampoo and conditioner but please keep in mind that fullness and volume might not last as long or be the same as the reference photos.

  • Shop online or in person at ‘The Hair Shop’ in Hollywood. We advice clients to visit the store and an associate will match the hair extensions to the client’s hair color to blend with your natural hair.

  • Our kits are stocked with high-end products. Foundations are carefully selected to give our clients the desired and most flattering skin coverage and finish. Artists kits are stocked with a wide selection of human hair lashes for clients to choose from.

  • False lashes and a small touch up kit.

  • Please keep in mind that minimal touch ups may be needed throughout the day, specially for long events and outdoor weddings in the summer. You can book an Artist in advance to stay for touch ups.

  • You will received a timeline to plan accordingly prior to the appointment. Please have your guests bring reference images of what they have in mind for makeup and/or hair.

    We are unable to service clients coming to the appointment with extremely oily hair because the hair will not accept the hair styling, additionally, we can not work with oily hair for sanitation reasons. Please keep in mind that the payment for this type of scenario is not refundable.

  • Yes, we have travel for our clients across the USA and worldwide.

  • These expenses are per Artist. Transportation (by air or ground), hotel or Airbnb, meals and any expenses related to the reservation while commuting to and from the location such parking expenses, toll fees etc.

  • Yes.

  • Our kits are sanitized prior to an appointment and in between clients. We replace every possible tool for disposables.

  • a signed agreement and a deposit is required for every appointment.

  • A medium to large working space free of obstructions is required for all appointments. Pre-arranging the space prior to the artist arrival is greatly appreciated. Having to clear the space to set up might take up partial time of the scheduled time window.
